Cherry tree

This is a photo from Japan of a Cherry tree that grown out between this huge rock. Originally the rock was hit by lightning and it split in half, then a seed from the cherry blossom got in the gap, and this is what happened after 200 plus years.

Amazing! and of course very interesting Wed 19-May-2004 11:18

the North East part of Japan is really a beautiful place to visit, l wish i had more time visiting each location, but it's so hard to do that when i am with a tour. during this stop at the local garden, our tour guide end up searching for me and my parents, because we forgot to keep track with the time and everyone else in our group were already seated when we return to our tour bus

The RED colors really came through well on these!! Nicely done! Tue 11-May-2004 22:58

These photo shows a small Japanese dessert shop that is located right by a river. On the other side of that clift is a gazebo, and people line up in the gazebo to buy the Japanese dessert. It's quite interesting how the whole processes is done. First the buyer put the money in the basket that is fix on the pulley and then knock on the little table with a wooden hammer located in the gazebo 2 times, after the shop clerk hears it, he will pull the basket back and then place the dessert and a free green tea in the basket and slide it back down the cable line across the river.

That river is so beautiful!!! And those desserts look yummi!!!!!!!!!!!! Sat 8-May-2004 03:56
